Each of our guest rooms and function spaces introduces guests to some of the people and places that make New England such an important destination for travelers and students alike -- Northfield, Deerfield, Strawberry Banke, Plimoth, Mystic Seaport, the Pocumtuc Valley, Emily Dickinson and more. Each is decorated in a style reminiscent of that historic area or person, with prints, furniture, artwork and craft items highlighting that era.

Northfield Room

With its queen-size four-poster bed, Federal-era décor, the Northfield Room combines classic New England design with modern comforts, such as a large private bath with deep tub and shower, a seating area, cable TV, AC in season and free WiFi access for your own laptop computer. The price of $139* (call for holiday pricing and availability) includes a full country breakfast.

Adjoining Room Option: For parents and students or three people traveling together, the adjoining Emily Room, featuring a pencil post queen bed, AC and TV may be combined with Northfield to form a handy suite for $49* more per night. Simply reserve Northfield online and ask to have Emily added to your reservation in the "Notes" field on our reservation request system. When you choose this option, we will reply with a dual confirmation.

Strawberry Banke

Drift off to sleep in a king size pillow top bed in this spacious room named for the historic district of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Elegant and romantic yet comfortable, private bath with tub/shower combination, two wing chairs that recline for lounging, cable TV, a bookcase filled with great reading, and four large windows that are sheltered by pines on one side and overlook lilacs in the spring. AC in season. The price of $149* includes a three-course breakfast.

Sturbridge Room

Sturbridge features a massive, pillow-top queen size, four-poster bed, beautiful linens, space for reading or watching the cable TV, AC in season, and a sparkling well-appointed private bath with shower. Add views of spectacular sunsets over the rolling lawns and distant hills and you have the makings of a wonderful weekend for two. Adjoining Room Option for Parties of Four: Parents and students or several adults traveling together may wish to combine the Sturbridge Room with the adjacent Plimoth Roomto create a charming and unique suite. Call us for more information about this option.

Plimoth Room

Guests love this unique room located in the traditional New England "ell" in the house. Offering quiet, privacy and a second floor location, the Plimoth is a soothing retreat for one, two or a family of three (two parents, one small child). The price of $117* for one or two people includes a full breakfast. For a child, add $20 to the price (call for holiday pricing and availability). The room features one antique double bed and one twin bed tucked in its own charming nook. Please note that the Plimoth Room has a full private bath which is located across the hall.

When paired with the adjacent Sturbridge Room, you create a suite that can accommodate four to five with both one interior and one hall bath. There is free Wifi in the building with your own laptop computer.

Deerfield Room/Suite

Elegant enough to be a bridal or anniversary suite, but comfortable for a family of four, the Deerfield Room and Suite, with its attached whirlpool-equipped spacious bath, offers flexibility, comfort and a very special lodging experience. The master bedroom features a king-size four poster bed with pillow-top mattress, a vaulted ceiling, electric fireplace, AC in season, and a spectacular view of the western hills. The second room in the suite features two twin beds with pillow-top mattresses, cable TV, AC in season and great views. Both rooms are served by the large and airy private bath features a two-person whirlpool tub and separate shower. Free WiFi is accessible with your own laptop computer. The price of $209* for double occupancy includes a three-course breakfast. Add $20 extra for each additional person up to two in the adjoining 'twin' room. *Taxes extra.
